This policy covers thenewbuilder.aiand the TNB member portal, operated by Humble Conviction Corp. under the name The New Builder (“TNB”, “we”, “us”). It explains what information we collect when you visit the site or use the portal, how we use it, who can see it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Information from Google sign-in. When you sign in to the member portal with Google, Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with us. We request nothing else from your Google account.
Information you enter in the portal. If you complete or edit your portal profile, we collect the fields you fill in, such as your bio, links, GitHub, and the product you are building. You decide what to include.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical data when you visit, such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed. We may use standard analytics tools to understand how the site is used.
2. How we use information
- To confirm you are a TNB member and give you access to the portal.
- To show your profile to other signed-in members in the member directory.
- To contact you about your portal account if we need to.
- To keep the site and portal secure and working.
3. Who can see your information
Other members. Your portal profile, including your name, photo, and the fields you enter, is visible only to signed-in TNB members. It is not published on the public website and is not indexed by search engines.
Our commitment on non-public information. We will not share non-public member information, meaning anything in your profile or account that is not already public, with anyone outside TNB without your explicit consent. The only exceptions are the service providers below, who store the data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes, and cases where we are required by law to disclose it.
Service providers. The portal runs on Google Firebase and Vercel, and member records are kept in Google Workspace. Each operates under its own privacy policy.
Business transfer. If TNB is merged, acquired, or reorganized, portal data may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data retention
We keep your portal account and profile for as long as you are a TNB member. You can ask us to delete them at any time (see Section 6). Technical logs are kept for a limited period by our hosting provider and then discarded.
5. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including limiting access to the TNB team and the providers listed above. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your choices
- Profile: edit or remove anything in your portal profile at any time.
- Google access:revoke TNB’s access from your Google account settings.
- Access, correction, deletion: email admin@thenewbuilder.ai to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. Members in the UK, EU, or California may have additional rights under local law; we will honor those requests in the same way.
7. International members
TNB is based in the United States and our providers store data in the United States and other countries. By using the portal you understand your information will be processed there.
8. Age
The portal is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and for material changes we will tell members by email.
